We can't help but wonder...

So James Cameron has bought just over 1000 hectares of Wairarapa farmland. And we noticed on the TV footage this morning of his purchase that there's a decent-sized lake on the property.

So we can't help but womder if Cameron is going to put in a bid for the wreck of the MV Rena, and build himself a replica of the sinking of the Titanic. After all, they've replicated Stonehenge down thataway, so why not?

We also wonder whether Labour, the Greens and NZ First would oppose THAT...

The lake is beautiful and very peaceful. I have walked around it when my wife's relations owned it. There is wide spread support in the Wairarapa for the deal, but a wee concern the walking maybe curtailed.
Somehow I don't feel The Rena would feel at all at "home" there!!! It would also sink as the lake is considered to be significantly deeper than the Astrolabe Reef.
