We hit the road tonight, en route to Christchurch. Next week is shaping up as a huge one, and we'll be all over the place. So blogging may be intermittent over the next week or so.
We've tried relaxing the requirements for commenting by dropping out the word verification, but the spammers have got wind of us. Accordingly, while we are away from our computer, we'll be reinstating the verification. We know it's a pain in the butt for you, but it was a pain in the butt for us clearing the dozens of spam messages this morning that had accumulated overnight.
There's one positive to heading south tonight; hopefully we'll miss the "weather bomb" (they used to just call them storms!) that's due in the next 24 hours. It blew a gale here yesterday, but this afternoon has been eerily calm. It's just started to rain, and we have a feeling it's the calm before the storm. We've nailed down everything that needs to be, and now we'll just hope for the best!
Have a great weekend, and take care out there; there are some pretty dire predictions of wind and rain, and already a few events have been postponed or cancelled. A friend has trained for a year for the Taupo Ironman, but now she'll be doing a half-Ironman on Sunday; tomorrow's event has been delayed already. Enjoy it Lesley; you'll just have to keep training for another year!
