Ironic Quote of the Day - 19 April 2012

This one comes from Winston Peters; quelle surprise!

NZ First leader Winston Peters said Mr Key was "astoundingly" ignoring public outcry over "the backroom deal".
"This is a prime example of the Government cuddling up to its buddies and selling off our laws to the highest bidder while ignoring the social cost of problem gambling."

Could this be the same Winston Peters who as Minister for Racing increased government funding to the racing industry exponentially, and whose party also received significant donations from persons who had financial interests in the said racing industry? Or was this a different Winston Peters?

Then again, we suppose that it could be argued that if anyone knows anything about cash for policy, it's Winston Peters; but why would we be surprised by that?
