Right up until last Thursday, the Metservice boffins were being prophets of doom with regard to the Easter weekend weather.
History will record that the east of the North Island excepted, Metservice got things horribly wrong. This must be one of the best Easter weekends weather-wise for many a long day.
Over in our part of the North Island, the sun shone from the moment it rose until the moment it set, with barely a cloud to be seen. There was a cool breeze on Friday and Saturday, but yesterday was one right out of the box. That was especially appreciated, as we were attending an outdoors wedding. The sun shone, the wind didn't blow, and the nuptials proceeded without a hitch.

I think they should only be forgiven when they actually get it right!
Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.
Fool me 17,457 times, you must be the Met Service!
