On Wednesday,we blogged the video of the deconstruction of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Christchurch. This morning, we've got a video of something that's going in the other direction.
Construction began on One World Trade Centre (1WTC) in October 2004. This week, it became New York's tallest building, prompting this amazing time-lapse sequence. Sit back, and watch almost eight years of construction in just two minutes!
You can read more about the details of 1WTC here. But when it's completed in 2013 it will be the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, and the third-tallest in the world. It will be a fitting memorial to those who perished in the terrorists attacks on 11 September 2001, and it's still going up!
