Has Trevor been advising the ALP?

SMOG has descended over Canberra; that's SMOG of the Social Media Own Goal variety; the Australian reports:

JULIA Gillard's office has this morning faced a social media backlash after the prime minister and a number of Labor MPs tweeted the hashtag #cashforyou to promote the Federal Government's School Kids Bonus.
In a co-ordinated social media campaign,  MPs promoted the government’s bonus which offers cash payments the parents of school-age children with the hashtag #cashforyou.
However, users of social media were quick to lampoon the campaign.
"Voters think we're crap with money & throw it around too much. Wot to do?" "I know, start a #cashforyou hashtag!", tweeted one user.
“I’m worried the #cashforyou message might be too subtle and nuanced to really cut through,” tweeted another.
Amid hundreds of comments criticising the strategy the hashtag trended quickly across Australia.
Many users compared the campaign with previous social media failures such as Qantas’s #QantasLuxury Twitter campaign, which the company launched soon after it grounded its fleet late last year.
“I would have thought whoever came up with #cashforyou might have remembered what happened to #qantasluxury...”, one user said.
Among the prominent MPs to tweet the campaign were Ms Gillard, employment participation minister Kate Ellis and mental health minister Mark Butler as well as a number of backbench MPs.
In Ms Gillard’s case it was her office which sent the tweet under the name “Team JG” they wrote: Ms Gillard’s advisors, known as TeamJG on Twitter, tweeted: ‘‘Talking to parents & students about the Schoolkids Bonus at Marrickville West Public School #cashforyou.’’

So the question has to be asked; has Trevor Mallard been moonlighting for the Australian Labor Party as he tries to assemble some coin to pay for his defamation defence?

Still, we doubt that Kevin Rudd is going to be complaining...

When you say: "the question has to be asked" do you really mean 'we thought we'd ask the question because we've little else going on, especially not good news from dear leader'?

You think so Berl; so far, everyone who was involved in the tender process, even those who were unsuccessful have said everything was transparent and above board.
