We've driven around this roundabout many times; it's the one that leads you into Christchurch International Airport. Over in the top right-hand corner is the Russley Golf Club.
We doubt that there will be much golf played at Russley today. And as you can see from the time-stamp, this is a VERY recent picture!
It's going to be a cold, snowy day across much of the South Island today, so take care out there. We have a trip to Wellington and back later today, and we're told that the weather there isn't too flash either. We'll be leaving ourselves plenty of time.
Still; what's bad news for some people will be good news for others; the Canterbury skifields will be getting a great early-season dump of snow today, so those of you who get your kicks sliding down mountains will be rubbing your hands together.

That little dusting? It's why orange balls, wooly socks and concrete pills were invented!
Clear skies, no wind in Riverton.
I'm off to Dipton to watch the Transit of Venus.

To do so Robert, you will have to take your head out of your arse and cease watching the movement of Uranus first!!
A comment like yours, sthnjeff, mars an otherwise pleasant thread.
Still snowing like a bitch here in paradise.
I've just decided the city can do without my services today and will hope heavy rain follows the white crap.
KS, next time you're talking to this god of yours ask him what the hell he's playing at.
