Today's quote is a timely reminder from Adam Bennett at the NZ Herald:
In response to a key political question put to him incessantly by reporters over the weekend, Winston Peters has given another resounding "no".
But with Mr Peters, no doesn't always mean what it appears to.
Quite so Mr Bennett. After all, who could ever forget this iconic New Zealand political moment?

You're like an over excited corgi at the moment, snapping randomly at anyone within striking distance who's not your master.
Instead of dredging up ancient history, what about coming up with something positive about what the government's been doing? Tricky proposition obviously, but call it a stretch task.
Here's a novel suggestion Judge; with all the time you spend trawling around other people's blogs parasiting off their efforts, wehy don't you start your own. Then you can say whatever you like about anyone you like, without fear or favour.
Go on; I challenge you!
PS - let me know when you do so I can send Jabba and a few of the others around :)
Calling your commenters parasites is a bit odd. You can always close off comments if you don't want any.
Anyway, I'm doing you a favour by pointing out your errors of fact, logic and approach. I'm making you a better person. You're welcome!
I will be in .. get the blog going drudge and I will be a member. I went to bOb's a few times but good grief:
1/ he took a photo of a bee on his window sill
2/ took a photo of a hu hu bug
3/ took a photo of a bracket on a farm gate
4/ took a photo of cow poo.
Now, I'm sure people find that sort of thing interesting but I'm sorry, too heavy for me.
"Anyway, I'm doing you a favour"
In other words.."only guilty of being helpful"
Oh diddums Judge; you can dish it out, but you get all sensitive when it gets dished back at you.
And for the record, I called your CONDUCT parasitic, not you, not that I'd expect you to see the subtle difference.
The judge was more accurate describing himself as a parasite KS.
If that cap fits, Tinman; if the cap fits...
I can both dish it out and take it IV2.
BTW, I'm not even sure parasiting is a word. Parasite is a noun, not a verb. Little wonder there's plenty of scope for miscommunication with such abuse of the language going on.
Language is changing all the time, and new words introduced. I understood exactly what KS meant by the word "parasiting" as it so fits the conduct. If it is indeed a new word, well done KS. It is an perfect description.
replace "an" with "a".
This thread is very high quality discussion. Thanks to all involved. This is powerful political commentary Keeping Stock. Congratulations.
Very lame trolling ......
