We blogged this morning about Nick Willis' New Zealand record in the 1500m race in Monaco overnight. Now, here's the video:
It's interesting that Willis was up against no fewer than SEVEN Kenyans in the 14-man field. There's no doubt from whence the major threat will come in London in a couple of weeks.
And by chance, we saw Willis' last Diamond League run on the telly this afternoon; from London. Interestingly, in that race he was just entering the home straight in the time he ran this morning in Monaco. Here's hoping he's timed his Olympic run to perfection.

It is good that Willis appears to be in the best form of his life at just the right time.
Of course there is a limit of three competitors from each country per event so four of the seven Kenyans will not be lining up for the 1500 metres in the Olympics.

Great to see our strong tradition in middle distance running is continuing with Willis. :-)
