Another Mallard SMOG

As we noted yesterday, Trevor Mallard was happy to predict John Banks' absence from the House for Question Time. Mallard tweeted this:

Trevor Mallard's prediction skills seem to be of a similar standard to his strategic advice to the Labour Party last General Election. John Banks not only fronted yesterday, but was in fine form as this video from In the House demonstrates:

We could wait for Trevor Mallard to apologise to Banks for his abusive tweet, but that would just be an exercise in futility; Trevor Mallard doesn't do sorry. Instead, chalk up yet another SMOG (Social Media Own Goal) for the highly-principled Member for Hutt South.

I didn't read this post and have no intention of reading it, so Trevor Mallard has done nothing wrong.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Classic, Edward.

Trevor's innocent.

Yesterday Turei, in particular, made a fool of herself with her silly comparisons about people and contracts. For someone with legal training she lowered her credibility when the blood-lust of a gang attack on wounded prey got the better of her. It was reminiscent of the "gimme back my flag" moment in its desperation.

Quite so Robyn; Turei's "Planet Key" was hackneyed and unoriginal. I thought the Greens were supposed to be the cutting-edge innovators...

Mallard's tweeting was out of order. It would help if Banks recovered his memory and just admitted wrong-doing, or trickery, or foolish mistake - and moved on! Attacking the Greens and NZ First didn't help his case.
Can't we raise a bar a little? Maybe the media-trainers could school our pollies in how not to be abusive - and also how to admit it when they are so blatantly in the wrong!

Duncan's calling it straight.
Tell the truth Banks and you too Key. We are sick of this nonsense from the two of you.
