In recent times when we have blogged about golf, a commenter by the name of Teletext has often responded. And the contents of the comments indicated that Teletext had more than a passing interest in the wonderful sport of golf.
So we made contact, and our instincts were spot-on. Teletext has played the game to a very high level, and has been involved in golf in other ways for many, many years. Given that his knowledge of golf (and his swing!) was infinitely better than ours, we floated an idea that he might like to contribute to Keeping Stock, and he has accepted that.
Teletext's first post will appear later today, and it's well worth a read. He's choosing to remain anonymous, and we're absolutely fine with that. We know however that his golf writings will come with a level of knowledge that we can only dream about!

@ Ciaron - go to the back of the queue. I hope to have 18 holes with Teletext at some time in the not-too-distant future at which time he can cure all my golfing ills!!
I have the good fortune to work next to a very good, small golf shop where I am welcome to practice on the indoor range. today I was told: hit it hard, then hit it straight... confidence is everything!
Inv - from what you have said about your golf in the past Teletext must be an absolute genius if he is going to cure all your swing problems in that short space of time.
As an aside I was told at the weekend that my 81 year old uncle has played Waiohiki, Napier under his age 3 times in the last month or so.
You're probably right pdm; we might need at least 72 holes!
As for shooting one's age; I'd be struggling to better mine in nine holes at the moment, so your uncle is doing very well.
