You know the rules; keep 'em short, pithy, amusing and on-topic, and don't get unnecessarily personal. Other than that, you're only limited by your imagination.
We'll kick it off:
Celia Wade-Brown wondered why the crowd stayed away from her campaign rally. She thought her LABOUR of love would make the voters GREEN with envy, and enhance her MANA.

Assest sales protest or Phoenix appearance...it's so hard to tell these days.
We collected around 1000 signatures in Invercargill over last weekend during the Green Policy Conference, I agree that some collectors are getting weary, but there is no shortage of people willing to sign.
There have been 44 petitions in support of a Referenda since 1994
9 have been withdrawn, 26 have lapsed, 4 have been successful in generating a referenda (although in 3 the result was ignored by the Government)
Most petitions lapse because they can't generate enough signatures in a year. Around 350,000 signatures are needed to instigate a referendum and this was achieved for the asset sale one in only eight months. Unfortunately it was announced by Grey Power that the final target had been reached, this has since shown to be premature because we will probably need 390,000 to cover invalid ones. In a month we collected 20,000 more and we will probably have the remainder by the end of the February. This is an excellent result considering we have until May to get the total.
It will be wonderful to enable all New Zealanders to have a vote on this issue and finally establish what real mandate this Government has to proceed with the sales.
Very interesting bsprout, but it's not a caption!
Good point, KS, :-)
How about "Roll on the Referendum!"
At least windy Wellington ensures that the tumbleweeds are moving too fast to be captured in shot...
"We are the Popular Front of Judea".

Why collect if you the have numbers - or did petition organisers lie
That latter point has been made in my previous post Michael; it might have been a premature celebration from the Left
