Greens co-leader Russel Norman says hundreds of millions of dollars has already been spent on the partial asset sale process.
He's furious that another million dollars will be spent trying to convince people that privatisation is a good idea.
"And so the fact that John Key is using taxpayers' money in a propaganda campaign to try to convince taxpayers privatisation is a good idea just shows what content the Prime Minister holds ordinary people in."
So Dr Norman doesn't want the Government to spend money promoting one of its flagship policies, even though that's what governments are allowed to do. But he is quite happy for HIS party to be "using taxpayers' money in a propaganda campaign" to oppose that policy, and quite happy for the Labour Party to be doing likewise. Oh dear.
There's a word for Dr Norman's double standard that you're not allowed to say in Parliament. We can use it here though. And that word is HYPOCRISY. He'll probably be as furious with us for saying it as he is with John Key for doing what governments do, but we'll just have to grin and bear it.
