The Friday Forum - 1 March 2013

It's Friday, and we're on the road again today; quite literally. We doing a special delivery to the South Island. We'll be away for a couple of nights, before doing a road trip home at the end of the weekend.

There will be a bit of blogging time, especially if we can get internet access whilst crossing Cook Strait. But in the meantime, we've reopened the Friday Forum.

You know the drill; talk about whatever takes your fancy. All that we ask is that you show a modicum of courtesy to others, even if you disagree with their views.

That's all from us for for the moment; we'll check in from time to time. But now, the floor is yours...

Good to see the Court of Appeal overruling the High Court in the Dotcom case, and saying the US do not have to hand over the source documents in the extradition hearing. A valid point is made in that this is an extradition hearing not a trial, so therefore not all material has to be handed over.

I have gotten the feeling during this saga that the Dotcom lawyers have been trying to use the extradition hearing as a defacto trial and thus essentially gaining the prosecution case prior to extradition let alone trial.
