The old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words is brilliantly illustrated here. Steve Williams and his former boss Tiger Wood shake hands at the end of Round One of the US Open at Merion in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.
Woods has finished the second round at three over par, in a tie for 17th, just four shots out of the lead. USA golfers Billy Horschell and Phil Mickelson are the only players under par after two rounds as the famed Merion course, although short, has bared her teeth. Williams' man Adam Scott is right on the cut-line, which currently sits at seven-over.
But the eye contact, the body language and the tension (check out Williams' right forearm) are there for all to see; a wonderful photograph!
