Ashes Photo of the Day - 27 December 2013

From the Harsh, But True department comes this gem that we've just swiped off Twitter:

The Australians seemed to be a little off the pace  for much of yesterday. Perhaps their Ashes celebrations segued into Christmas festivities. The pressure will be on Kevin Pietersen when play resumes later today to take England past 300.

I think the fact that Pietersen is still in shows how off the pace the Aussies were. You would expect most club cricketers to complete the catch that was botched on the boundary and the one to Bailey at mid wicket, while hit hard was also pretty straight forward.

Once again the poms did not take advantage on what looked a good batting strip and they will have to bowl well to stay in the game by stumps today.

Agree completely pdm; Coulter-Nile made an absolute hash of that outfield catch.

Aus batting not very convincing.

Warner is not that good to cope with a Pyjama game between Perth and The G.

Now he has proved that, what a dreadful test cricket shot, I wouldn't have been happy for an early swipe in limited overs.

Cripes before I could get that blimmin code in and Watson is on his way.

Watson and Warner out? Oh dear; how sad; never mind!
